First-of-its-Kind study probes lifelong health of 'Transplant Babies'
NCT ID NCT07291258
Summary
This study aims to understand the long-term health of children born to mothers who have had a solid organ transplant (like kidney, liver, or heart). Researchers want to see if these children have a higher risk of heart, kidney, or immune system problems later in life, possibly due to their mother's transplant medications during pregnancy. They will compare the health of about 200 teens and adults in the Netherlands to the general population through health checks and questionnaires.
