NCT ID NCT04828083
First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving lidocaine through an IV works as well as a targeted nerve block for controlling pain after knee replacement surgery. 120 adults having a knee replacement took part. The goal was to see if the IV method could reduce the need for strong opioid painkillers while still providing good pain relief and recovery.
