Summary
This study tests whether giving a combination of two drugs (lidocaine and dexmedetomidine) during weight-loss surgery can reduce pain, inflammation, and cell stress afterward. About 104 adults having laparoscopic bariatric surgery will receive either the combo, one drug alone, or a placebo. Researchers will measure pain levels 24 hours after surgery and check blood markers of inflammation and oxidative stress.
