First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding nerve blocks to standard local pain medicine can better control pain after knee replacement surgery. About 200 adults having their first knee replacement will be randomly assigned to receive either local pain medicine alone or local pain medicine plus nerve blocks. The goal is to see which approach leads to less pain, less opioid use, and faster recovery.
