Gum cell injection could ease knee arthritis pain

Summary
This early-stage study tests a single injection of cells made from donated gum tissue into the knee joint of 15 people with knee osteoarthritis. The main goal is to check safety, but researchers will also look at pain and function. The cells showed promise in animals for reducing inflammation and repairing cartilage.
