NCT ID NCT07416721
First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether cooling the knee after total knee replacement surgery can reduce pain and help people recover faster. About 99 adults having knee replacement will be randomly placed into one of three groups: cooling with a special bandage, cooling with an ice pack, or standard care without cooling. Cooling starts 24 hours after surgery and continues for two weeks. Researchers will measure pain, painkiller use, swelling, and how long people stay in the hospital.
