Ice vs. bandage: the cold truth about knee surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07416721

Summary

This study is testing whether cooling the knee after total knee replacement surgery helps with recovery. Patients will be randomly assigned to use a special cooling bandage, a standard ice pack, or receive no cooling at all for two weeks after their operation. Researchers will measure pain levels, swelling, knee movement, and how much pain medication is needed to see if cooling provides a clear benefit.
