Can a simple quiz predict brain health in aging? italian study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT07533084

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study will test an Italian version of a questionnaire called the dynamic Neurocognitive Adaptation (dNA) scale in 265 older adults, including those with normal aging, mild memory complaints, or dementia. The goal is to see if higher scores on the scale—reflecting more engagement in physical, cognitive, creative, and social activities—are linked to better memory and brain function. Participants will complete interviews, memory tests, and questionnaires, and some will have their existing MRI scans analyzed. This is a validation study, not a treatment, so it aims to improve understanding rather than offer a direct benefit.
