Summary
This study looks at three types of iron supplements (low-dose, low-dose yeast-bound, and high-dose) in 36 female athletes aged 16–35 with low iron. Participants take their assigned supplement every other day for 12 weeks and complete fitness tests, blood draws, and gut bacteria sampling. The goal is to find which supplement best improves iron levels, exercise performance, and stomach comfort.
