New nerve block technique may ease pain after knee replacement

NCT ID NCT07080892

First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at two methods of giving a special nerve block (called iPACK) to reduce pain after total knee replacement. The block targets the back of the knee without affecting leg strength, helping people recover faster. 120 adults having knee replacement will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods, and researchers will measure pain levels and how much pain medicine they need. The goal is to find which approach works better for pain relief.
