First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether placing a temporary balloon in the stomach, along with diet and exercise, can improve asthma control in obese adults whose asthma is not well managed by standard inhalers. About 84 participants will be randomly assigned to get the balloon plus lifestyle changes or lifestyle changes alone. The main goal is to see if more people in the balloon group have better asthma control after one year.
