First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at how a short course of high-dose statins affects fatty buildup (plaque) in the heart arteries of 140 people with mild blockages. Participants get either statins or a placebo for 3 months, and advanced CT scans track plaque changes. The goal is to understand who benefits most and whether the effects last after stopping the drug.
