Cooling therapy drug dosing study aims to protect newborn brains

Summary

This study looks at how to best give hydrocortisone to newborns with low blood pressure who are being cooled for brain injury caused by lack of oxygen at birth. About 50 full-term babies will receive the drug while doctors monitor their blood pressure and drug levels. The goal is to find the right dose to safely raise blood pressure and improve long-term outcomes.
