First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study looks at whether high-speed centrifugation (spinning blood very fast) can remove fat from blood samples so doctors can accurately measure anti-Xa activity, a test used to monitor blood thinners. About 150 adults on anticoagulants will have their blood samples tested. The goal is to see if this simple lab technique can overcome interference from fatty blood and improve test reliability.
