Summary

This study tested whether a medicine called henagliflozin can reduce the size of heart damage and improve heart function in people who had a severe heart attack. 248 adults took the drug or a placebo for 6 months after a procedure to open blocked arteries. Researchers measured heart enzyme levels and checked for future heart problems to see if the drug helps recovery.
