Summary
This study tested a 12-month healthy weight program for 112 youth aged 8-18 with serious emotional disturbance who were overweight or obese. Participants worked with a health coach on diet, activity, and weight management, involving both the child and parents. The goal was to reduce body mass index and improve heart health risks compared to usual care.
