New drug test aims to heal painful, Hard-to-Treat skin wounds

NCT ID NCT06563323

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called guselkumab can help heal painful skin ulcers caused by pyoderma gangrenosum, a rare inflammatory skin condition. Seventeen adult participants will receive guselkumab injections every four weeks along with a stable daily dose of prednisone for 28 weeks, with follow-up until week 40. Researchers will measure how well the ulcers heal, whether pain improves, and how the treatment affects quality of life.
