Summary
This study looks at how GLP-1 medications (like Ozempic) affect fat tissue in people with severe obesity who are scheduled for weight-loss surgery. Researchers will compare fat samples from 40 patients—half taking a GLP-1 drug and half not—to see changes in oxytocin and other markers. The goal is to understand how these drugs work on fat, not to test a new treatment.
