NCT ID NCT06701825
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests whether doing a genetic test before a kidney transplant can help doctors choose the best starting dose of tacrolimus, an anti-rejection drug. About 114 adults waiting for a kidney transplant will be randomly assigned to either standard care or the genetic-testing approach. The goal is to see if more patients reach the ideal drug level in their blood by day 4 after transplant, and whether this strategy is cost-effective for the Spanish health system.
