Swallowable capsule to unlock secrets of digestion after Weight-Loss surgery
NCT ID NCT07286968
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at how digestion works in people who have had bariatric surgery (like gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy) and in people living with obesity. Researchers will collect fluid samples from the stomach and small intestine, and also use a swallowable capsule that measures things like temperature and acidity as it travels through the gut. The goal is to better understand how the body digests food after surgery, which could help improve care for patients in the future.
