Swallowable sensor reveals gut secrets after bariatric surgery
NCT ID NCT07286968
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at how the stomach and intestines digest food in people who have had weight-loss surgery (gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy) and in people with obesity who haven't had surgery. Researchers will collect digestive samples and use a small swallowable capsule to measure things like acidity and movement in the gut. The goal is to better understand digestion after surgery, not to test a new treatment.
