NCT ID NCT07127133

First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a wearable system that tracks walking patterns to detect early signs of Alzheimer's or related dementias. Researchers will collect gait data from 150 older adults (55+) who are healthy, have mild cognitive impairment, or have dementia. Participants either walk in a lab for a few hours or wear the device at home for one week. The goal is to see if changes in walking can serve as a simple, affordable way to monitor cognitive decline.
