NCT ID NCT07136909
First seen Jul 01, 2026 · Last updated Jul 02, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study aims to see if a French version of the OSA-18 questionnaire can accurately identify obstructive sleep apnea in children. Parents of children aged 4 to 17 who are already scheduled for a sleep test (polysomnography) will fill out the questionnaire. The results will be compared to the sleep test to check the questionnaire's reliability.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If validated, this French questionnaire could provide a simpler, non-invasive way to screen children for sleep apnea in clinics and research.
- What could go wrong
- This is a validation study, not a treatment trial. The questionnaire may not be as accurate as the gold-standard sleep test, and results may not apply to all children.
