NCT ID NCT07000227
First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how different diets low in certain carbohydrates (FODMAPs) affect gut bacteria, gut barrier function, and symptoms in people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or functional dyspepsia. About 60 adults will follow either a low FODMAP diet, a gentle FODMAP diet, or standard dietary advice for two weeks. Researchers will collect stool and blood samples and track symptoms to find the most effective diet for Malaysian patients.
