Summary
This study tested a new, non-invasive treatment for people with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or PTSD. It used low-intensity focused ultrasound to gently stimulate a brain region called the amygdala, which is involved in emotion. 29 adults received daily sessions for three weeks. The goal was to see if this approach is safe and can reduce symptoms of distress.
