First seen Jun 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether giving the flu vaccine to heart patients just before they leave the hospital can lower their risk of infections, heart problems, and death in the next 6 months. About 400 adults hospitalized for serious heart conditions will be randomly assigned to get the vaccine or not. The goal is to see if this simple step makes a difference in preventing future health crises.
