Brain wave clues may sharpen epilepsy surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether measuring fast-ripples (very fast brain waves) during epilepsy testing can help surgeons decide where to operate. About 440 adults with drug-resistant epilepsy will take part. Half will have special electrodes that detect fast-ripples; the other half will get standard care. The goal is to see if using fast-ripple information leads to more people being seizure-free one year after surgery.
