NCT ID NCT07424326
First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests whether burning extra lines in the heart, on top of the standard procedure, helps people with persistent atrial fibrillation stay free from abnormal heart rhythms for longer. About 450 adults with persistent AF (but not long-standing) will be randomly assigned to get either the standard vein isolation alone or with extra burns. The main goal is to see who has fewer AF episodes over 12 months.
