This trial tests whether a smartphone app that uses light to measure heart rhythm can reliably detect when atrial fibrillation (AF) spontaneously returns to a normal heartbeat. About 200 adults with AF scheduled for an electrical cardioversion will either receive standard care or use the app twice daily for a week before the procedure. The goal is to see if this simple home monitoring can catch a natural recovery and prevent an unnecessary hospital visit, while also tracking symptoms and long-term rhythm outcomes.
