First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at how prostate and colorectal cancer affect the tiny power plants inside cells (mitochondria) and whether a 4-week home exercise program could improve them. Fifteen men awaiting surgery took part, doing either resistance training or high-intensity interval training. The goal was to see if exercise could boost mitochondrial activity and muscle function before their operation.
