First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at how a short, intense running test changes blood sugar, fats, inflammation, and other health markers in normal-weight and overweight/obese teenage girls. 35 girls aged 14-18 completed the Spartacus test, and blood was drawn before, right after, and 30 minutes later. The goal was to understand how weight status affects the body's immediate response to maximal exercise.
