Summary
This study tested whether adding evolocumab, a drug that lowers bad cholesterol, to standard care helps people who recently had a heart attack. The goal was to see if it reduces cholesterol and inflammation in the heart and blood vessels. 100 adults aged 25 to 90 who had a specific type of heart attack took part. The drug is already approved for some patients, but this study looked at its effects right after a heart attack.
