First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This early study tested a single injection of a new drug called ENT-03S in 49 people who were either obese but otherwise healthy, or had both obesity and type 2 diabetes. The main goal was to check safety and how the drug moves through the body. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo, and were monitored for two weeks.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

ENT-03S

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward a new injectable treatment for obesity and type 2 diabetes.

What could go wrong

This is a very early Phase 1 trial with only 49 people, focused on safety and dosing. It is too small to prove effectiveness, and many early-stage drugs do not advance.
