NCT ID NCT06609200
First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether electro-acupuncture can improve insulin resistance in people with obesity. Sixty adults aged 21-65 with a BMI of 25 or higher and signs of insulin resistance will be randomly assigned to receive either real electro-acupuncture or a sham (fake) version. Researchers will measure changes in insulin resistance, body mass index, and waist-to-hip ratio to see if the treatment works.
