Summary
This study looks at whether starting treatment early for atrial fibrillation (AF) that is only detected by heart devices can reduce the amount of AF or prevent it from becoming a full-blown condition. About 520 adults with heart devices will be split into two groups: one gets early rhythm control (medication, shocks, or a procedure), and the other gets standard care without those treatments. The goal is to see if early treatment lowers AF burden by half or more and improves quality of life.
