Summary
This study tested if using a patient's genetic information (DNA) to guide the choice of antidepressant medication works better than standard doctor-led care for cancer patients. 99 adults with cancer and symptoms of depression or anxiety were randomly assigned to either get a DNA-guided medication recommendation or standard care. Researchers compared how much symptoms and quality of life improved in each group.
