Summary
This study tested whether a low dose of digoxin, a very old and cheap heart drug, can help people with chronic heart failure. About 982 adults with heart failure and reduced pumping function took either digoxin or a placebo. The goal was to see if digoxin could reduce hospital stays and deaths from heart problems.
