Scientists seek to define 'Visual Frailty' in ageing eyes
NCT ID NCT06604104
Summary
This study aims to define a new concept called 'visual frailty' and create a tool to measure it. Researchers will gather information from 20 Scottish adults aged 60+ with advanced age-related macular degeneration (AMD). They will look at vision, reading ability, daily function, mental health, and other health conditions to understand how poor vision contributes to overall frailty.
