NCT ID NCT07314866
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This small pilot study tested a new approach for teeth with dead nerves (pulp necrosis) and infection at the root tip. Doctors took pulp tissue from a donor tooth (like a wisdom tooth), mixed it with a concentrated growth factor, and transplanted it into the dead tooth. Over 12 months, they checked if the tooth regained feeling and if the bone around the root healed. The study involved 6 people aged 15-40 with a single damaged tooth.
