First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether a single session of mild electrical brain stimulation (called tDCS) can temporarily reduce pain in women with fibromyalgia. 92 right-handed women aged 18-65 with moderate to severe pain will receive the stimulation while researchers measure changes in pain levels and brain activity. The goal is to see if this non-invasive technique can offer a new way to manage chronic pain without medication.
