Brain zaps may speed up thinking in psychosis

NCT ID NCT06107764

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study explores whether a non-invasive magnetic brain stimulation technique (TMS) can temporarily improve how quickly people with psychotic disorders (like schizophrenia or bipolar) solve problems. About 95 participants will do thinking tasks and get brain scans before and after TMS. The goal is to learn how the cerebellum affects thinking speed, not to provide a treatment.
