Brain zapping study aims to speed up thinking in psychosis

NCT ID NCT06107764

First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called TMS can improve how quickly people with psychotic disorders (like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder) solve problems. About 95 participants will do thinking tasks and get brain scans before and after TMS. The goal is to understand how changing brain activity affects processing speed, not to treat the illness itself.
