Brain cell injection aims to tame seizures in Drug-Resistant epilepsy

Summary

This early-phase trial tests an injection of special brain cells (GABAergic interneuron progenitors) in 6 adults with drug-resistant mesial temporal lobe epilepsy. The goal is to see if the treatment is safe and can reduce seizure frequency. Participants will receive the cell therapy once, and researchers will monitor them for side effects and changes in seizures compared to before treatment.
