New scan seeks hidden cancers

NCT ID NCT02293954

Summary

This study is testing a new radioactive imaging agent to see if it can help find cancers that produce a specific protein called CEA. Twenty patients with various CEA-positive cancers will receive the agent and undergo PET scans to see if it highlights their tumors. The goal is to improve cancer detection, especially for tumors that might not show up clearly on standard scans.
