Summary
This study tested whether combining two injectable drugs, cagrilintide and semaglutide, works better than either drug alone for lowering blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. 92 adults with type 2 diabetes and a BMI of 27 or higher took part. Participants received weekly injections of either the combo or one drug plus a placebo for 32 weeks. The main goal was to see how much HbA1c (a blood sugar measure) dropped from start to week 32.
