New shot aims to calm IBS diarrhea and pain

Summary
This study tests an investigational drug called brenipatide for adults with irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D). About 531 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo injection under the skin for several weeks. The goal is to see if the drug safely reduces daily abdominal pain and improves stool consistency.
