Summary

This Phase 2 study tests whether brenipatide, given as an injection under the skin, can safely reduce abdominal pain and improve stool consistency in adults with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D). About 531 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo for several weeks. The goal is to see if more people feel better on brenipatide than on placebo.
