Scientists peer into the brain to see how we explore our world

NCT ID NCT07224191

Summary

This study aims to understand how a key memory area of the brain, the hippocampus, works while people look at and explore their surroundings. Researchers will measure brain activity in epilepsy patients who already have monitoring devices implanted, as well as in healthy volunteers, while they view virtual scenes or walk through real rooms. The goal is to learn how brain waves change with different levels of mental effort during visual tasks.
