New study could change how we treat high blood pressure in kidney disease patients

Summary
This study tests whether using a diuretic (water pill) as the second blood pressure medication, after an ACE inhibitor or ARB, works better than usual care for people with moderate to severe chronic kidney disease and uncontrolled high blood pressure. About 720 adults will take part. The goal is to see if this approach reduces the risk of kidney failure, heart problems, and death.
