Summary
This study tested a program that used financial rewards and text messages to encourage physical activity in 75 teens and young adults (ages 13-22) with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. Participants wore a Fitbit to track their steps and moderate-to-vigorous activity. The goal was to see if these behavioral economics tools could boost daily movement and help manage their condition.
