Summary
This study tested whether helping low-income African Americans with diabetic kidney disease meet their basic needs (like food, housing, and utilities) could improve their health. Fifty participants received support to address these challenges. The goal was to see if this approach was practical and could lead to better blood sugar control, blood pressure, and quality of life.
