Summary

This early-phase study tested the drug baricitinib in 17 people with Alzheimer's disease, ALS, or mild cognitive problems. The goal was to see if the drug reaches the brain and lowers inflammation linked to these diseases. Participants took baricitinib pills for 24 weeks, and researchers measured drug levels and inflammatory markers in spinal fluid.
