NCT ID NCT07165262
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at 88 children aged 2-18 who need brain surgery to remove a tumor and also have epilepsy. During surgery, doctors use a special brain wave test (ECOG) to find seizure areas. The study compares two anesthetic drugs, fentanyl and ketamine, to see which one better activates seizure signals, helping surgeons remove the right tissue. The goal is to improve surgical accuracy, not to cure the disease.
