Summary
This study looks at how amino acids trigger the liver to release hormones in healthy people and those with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Researchers will give amino acid infusions with or without a drug that blocks natural hormone production. By comparing the results, they hope to understand why liver hormone levels are often high in fatty liver disease. The study involves 30 participants and uses MRI scans to measure liver fat.
